Nockta is a creative engineering studio. This page explains what information we collect when you visit nockta.com or engage us as a client, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The plain-language version is the version we operate by. If a legal interpretation diverges from this text, the plain-language meaning wins.
Who we are
Nockta is operated by the entity behind nockta.com. Our team is remote, with operators across North America, EMEA, and MENA. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@nockta.com with the subject line "Privacy" and a real person will respond within 30 days, usually within one business day.
What we collect
From the contact form: the name, work email, company, role, project type, budget range, and any message you submit. We do not require fields you do not want to fill out.
From email and phone correspondence: the contents of what you send us, plus standard email headers and call metadata your provider passes along.
From the website: anonymous traffic data via privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), which does not use cookies and does not build a profile across sites. We log basic server access for security and operational reasons (IP address, user agent, requested path), retained for no more than 30 days unless tied to a security investigation.
From client engagements: information necessary to deliver the work. This is governed by the signed Statement of Work and a separate Data Processing Agreement where applicable.
How we use it
To reply to your inquiry, scope the work, send proposals, run the engagement once you sign, invoice for what we deliver, and support you afterwards. We use anonymous traffic data to understand which content is working and which is not. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not run advertising on it.
Cookies and tracking
The site is built to work without cookies. We do not run third-party ad pixels or session-replay tools. Embedded utilities you choose to interact with (for example, the Cal.com booking widget) may set their own cookies under their own privacy terms, which we link from the relevant moment.
Who we share it with
Service providers we use to run the business: our email host, file storage, project management, hosting platform (Vercel), CMS (Sanity), scheduling (Cal.com), and accounting. We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and every provider is contractually obligated to keep your information confidential. The full list is available on request.
We share information with law enforcement only when we receive a valid legal request. If we ever do, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited.
Where it lives
Information is processed in the United States, Canada, and the European Union depending on the service. For transfers out of the EU or UK we rely on standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, our service providers' supplementary measures.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not turn into engagements: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized. Active client records: for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for accounting and dispute purposes, or longer if law requires. Server logs: 30 days. Anonymous analytics: aggregated indefinitely, but cannot be linked back to you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR for the EU and UK, CCPA/CPRA for California, PIPEDA for Canada, and others) you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict our processing of it, or hand it back to you in a portable format. Email hello@nockta.com with the request and we will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. We will not charge for reasonable requests.
You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you are unhappy with how we handle your information. We would rather hear from you first so we can fix it.
Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption, access controls, and least-privilege principles. We patch the systems we operate on a regular cadence. No system is perfectly secure, but we run ours seriously and we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of any incident that affects your information.
Children
Our services are sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, email hello@nockta.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the business or applicable law evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes are communicated to active clients directly and posted here at least 14 days before they take effect.
